Eyeworks, have you heard of it?
Conceived in Los Angeles in
the late 1970’s by two high-school friends working in the optical industry, l.a
Eyeworks is a brand full of outlandish design and creativity. They started with
a small shop on Melrose, and have expanded across borders becoming an
internationally recognized brand – attracting the likes of Elton John, Jodie
Foster, and even a five-year-old Drew Barrymore.
Their history is important – they helped revolutionize eyewear by taking chances with colour and shapes. They were at the forefront of an early 80’s eyewear renaissance. The brand was known for pushing the envelope in fashion and tapping into the edgy celebrity style of the time.
Today, they continue to use boisterous acetate colour combinations to uphold the standard they set for themselves.
